Artist Ariel Cartaya

The artist and MANIAC himself, Ariel Cartaya was born and raised in Cuba, a place of great cultural and artistic wealth. It was there that he first experienced his passion for the arts and beauty of the human form.

Ariel came to America in the 1980’s during the Mariel Boatlift. Here he started his professional career as a hair stylist, a passion which he continues to pursue today. His love for art, beauty, and design, led him to begin creating mosaic sculptures in the human and animal forms.  Each of Ariel’s projects is truly unique and his passion for his work is easily visible with every mosaic sculpture he creates.
