Artist Piper Steffen

Piper Steffen became involved in business at an early age through work in her father’s aviation operation at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.  However, she always enjoyed art and photography throughout school, taking some classes at the old Fort Lauderdale Art Institute.  But she was also urged to go into finance, became a CPA in 1990, and enjoyed a proficient career in corporate accounting and later, owned and operated a small retail business in the equine industry in Georgia.

Art remained a passion and Piper began pursuing it again, painting with accomplished artists where she lived, such as renowned Georgia painter, Butler Brown, and gifted artist and gallery owner in Key West, Jim Salem.  After hurricane devastation to their home on Big Pine Key, she returned to Pompano Beach and opened Piper Gallery and Studio on November 15, 2019.  Piper has done several painting commissions, offers painting classes at the Gallery with artist Stephen Left, and represents fourteen of the finest, most talented painters, photographers and sculptors South Florida has to offer. 

The Gallery is the realization of a lifelong desire to be part of the local art community, represent exceptional artistic talent and to improve and refine her own love of painting.
